In 1938, Cachao wrote "Mambo" and recorded it with Antonio Arcaño Y Sus Maravillas. Many historians consider this piece to be one of the first Mambos; It was definitely the start of the Danzon-Mambo craze in Cuba. This transcription is based upon the 1994 recording of Mambo from Cachao's Master Sessions, Volume 1.
