NEWS
We’ve added new free music to the Listening Center recently - in addition to tracks by Andy Nevala and Dave Askren, you can now download two live tracks from bassist Edward Perez. Don’t forget that you can also stream samples and buy MP3s in the lower portion of the page.

I’ve also started adding streaming clips to album reviews, allowing you to hear song and buy MP3s directly from the review. You should see a player on the right hand side of the review - just click the arrow to play and then flip through the songs. So far, I’ve added the player to the reviews of Fernando Huergo’s Provinciano and Craig Russo’s In The Middle. Let me know if this is helpful, I’m thinking of adding more players to expand your experience.

LJC 2007 Latin Jazz Flautist of the Year Mark Weinstein has recently released a straight-ahead jazz album with guitarist Dave Stryker entitled Straight No Chaser. Since it’s not a Latin Jazz album, we won’t be covering it extensively here at LJC. It is very good though - check it out!
