Pianist Geoffrey Keezer is creating a new jazz album based upon Peruvian rhythms. The album, entitled Aurea should be available in December 2008, but you can support Keezer’s work through Artistshare. Stop by the Artistshare site and check out a video - it looks like an interesting project, well worth the support!

Descara.com published an interview with Gilberto “Pulpo” Colon this past week. John Childs talks with Pulpo about his long sideman career working with some of the legends of Salsa and Latin Jazz, as well as his first release as a leader, Hot Bread. Check out the interview HERE
