NEWS
The Latin Grammys announced the nominees for the 9th annual awards ceremony this past week. The nominees were, um . . . interesting, to say the least. I think that I’ll be commenting upon the nominees in a post later this week. For now, if you’d like to check out the Grammy Foundation’s choices, go HERE

Miami-Dade College officially launched their Latin Jazz Institute this past week with a jam session that including many local Latin Jazz greats such as saxophonist Ed Calle and pianist Jose Negroni. The institute will partner with artists to produce master classes, seminars, concerts, and symposiums. It sounds like a great step forward for Latin Jazz in education.
