Seattle based Latin Jazz group Sonando has been featured on the cover of Earshot Jazz this month. There’s a lengthy article on the group that discusses their 2007 Earshot Golden Ear Award, includes discussions with several group members, and provides an overall portrait of the band. This Thursday night December 4th, UCLA’s Royce Hall will host a musical event that includes a number of important Latin Jazz performers - Chango En Paris. It is a musical play that tells the story of the Batá Drums as they moved with the people from Nigeria to Cuba. It includes performances from Chuchito Valdes, Francisco Aguabella, Justo Almario, Jesus Diaz, and more! Get more info HERE!
