Voting for the LJC Best of 2008 Awards are off and running. We’ve had an enthusiastic start to the process and I imagine the next two weeks will bring much more excitement. If you haven’t gotten a chance yet, VOTE TODAY!

In the midst of our voting process here at LJC, the Grammy Foundation announced the nominees for their yearly awards. I’m glad to say that the Grammy people are making some good choices this time around - congratulations to Arturo O’Farrill, Papo Vazquez, and Conrad Herwig for much deserved nominations. More on my 2009 Grammy thoughts later . . .

Guitarist Eric Kurimski was recently featured in the January 2009 issue of Guitar Player magazine. The Rants and Raves section of the magazine had some very complementary things to say about his recent release, Replica. You can check out the Guitar Player website here or find it on your local news stand today! Don’t forget - Kurimski is nominated for Latin Jazz Guitarist of the Year and Replica is nominated for Album of the Year. VOTE TODAY!
